UNC – Charlotte
Master of Public Health
Patricia is driven by a passion to improve community health through leading efficient and equitable healthcare practices.
She has more than ten years of healthcare and public health experience, from patient-facing roles to organizational administration. As an EMS supervisor, she was responsible for Strategic Planning, Quality Improvement, and Clinical Research in a large, fast-growing county. Her research interests led to graduate work at UNC-Charlotte and several published studies in peer-reviewed journals. She also has been certified as an Improvement Coach by the Institute for Healthcare Improvement.
As a strategy consultant at Ascendient, Patricia combines the mind of a researcher with the heart of a first responder. She works primarily with health departments and hospitals to create strategic plans that are actionable, equitable, and will help the client achieve their vision. She believes that research, quality improvement, and operations all must align to move communities toward better health.
Outside the office, Patricia enjoys visiting and supporting America's National Parks. She is also an avid reader, with a penchant for fantasy and sci-fi. She lives in North Carolina with her husband, two cats, and a German Shepard.
