Laura Armstrong-Brauer

Laura brings her multifaceted experiences to bear in partnering with health system and provider clients on the development of CON/COPN and other regulatory projects. She helps ensure that deliverables successfully communicate community health needs to regulators, while balancing health planning principles of quality, access, and cost. She strives to empower our Regulatory team to continue to show up invested in excellence.  

Before joining Ascendient, Laura worked in Strategy & Planning at Sentara Health, where she led COPN strategy and partnered with operational and clinical leaders to conduct strategic plans, CHNAs, and other assessments. Prior to that, she developed her data-driven nature as an Epidemiologist for the Department of Navy. She began her professional career at a Planned Parenthood affiliate, where she planned accreditation and licensure compliance programs.

Laura has a Master of Public Health degree with an emphasis in epidemiology, and she is a member of the Delta Omega Honorary Society in Public Health.

When she's not working, Laura fills up her time on adventures with her two children.
